Pressing On

In response to my call about the onset of new symptoms after starting on Remicade, the doctor's office told me to take some Tylenol.  If your smoke detector goes off in your house, would you be fine with the Fire Department telling you just to cover your ears?

I had my second infusion last Wednesday and felt extremely tired the next day.  I've also noticed the joint and muscle pain seems to be at its worst whenever I do something physical - as simple as mowing the grass or walking the dogs.  Within two hours of these kinds of activities, I can expect the aching to begin.

Is it working?  I suppose I have less pain in my lower right side.  Of course, I could just be distracted from the pain everywhere else.  I have noticed that within 12 hours of both infusions, I found myself on a toilet - in spite of taking Imodium.  My next infusion is in October, so if I can make it until then, I'll know if this is working or not.  If it works, I'm adding more hookworms ASAP!  With lymphoma as a possible side effect, I don't want to use Remicade any longer than I have to.
