The pill camera procedure was painless. The worst part about it, besides the prep the night before, was having to wear the belt and bag in the 100 degree Texas heat. So as far as procedures go, this one is very easy. The pill was a little larger than a multi-vitamin, so it went down quite easy. They said I will have about 54,000 images by next week at the latest. As I was given all of the equipment, I told the nurse/technician what she might see...hookworms. Surprisingly, she had heard of helminthic therapy when it was mentioned at a recent conference! She seemed very eager to be able to see the hookworms in action.
Now I just have to find something to do with 54,000 images. I'm thinking I could do a large mosaic self-portrait. I know just the place to hang it in the dining room.
